Early Dismissal

We do not do early dismissal pick-ups after 3:30pm. If you need to pick up your child early, please make arrangements to do so prior to 3:30pm.

Attendance Matters!

Hello Families,

When students are present at school, they gain valuable educational experiences and practice of taught skills. With the district-wide focus on attendance this year, Erving will be celebrating those students who are also making attendance a priority. Each month, students with attendance of 95% and greater will be automatically entered into a drawing for a special prize, and classes with the best overall attendance will receive a popsicle party. Please join us in our push for fewer absences and better academic growth from being present in school. Your child could be next month’s winner!

Mitten Tree

The Student Lighthouse Team is asking for new hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves. Donations will be accepted through December 20. All items donated will go to children in need.

PTO INFORMATION:

Santa Shop Information

Dear Erving Families,

Your child is invited to attend our upcoming Santa’s Secret Shop!

It will be held on Monday December 9 - Friday December 13 during school hours in the Forum. Your student will be shopping with their class.

The Santa’s Secret Shop will provide your child the opportunity to purchase their own special holiday gifts for family and friends. There will be an affordable, popular selection of items for everyone. Gift choices include  jewelry, traditional & trendy gifts, plush animals, tools, collectibles, novelties, and more. Gifts will range from $0.50 - $15.

The students enjoy this experience every year and we are very excited to provide this service to our Erving students and families. We need your help to make this year’s Santa Shop a success! Parent volunteers are crucial to our shop running smoothly. Volunteers will be helping students shop for their loved ones and wrap their gifts. We realize that the holiday season is a busy time for everyone and we greatly appreciate your time and support!

CLICK HERE to sign up to volunteer!

Please sign up by Friday November 22 to let us know if you can donate your time. You will need an I-Chat on file or completed 1 week before your volunteer day.

Any questions please contact ervingpto@wbsdweb.com.

Thank you for your help and participation!

Student Birthday Policy:

Recognizing your child’s birthday is important to us and we understand the importance of celebrating their special day with their classmates. However, sending in a food treat to the classroom can exclude those children who have food allergies or other dietary restrictions. For this reason, and in efforts to promote healthy lifestyles for our students, we respectfully ask that cupcakes and other food items NOT be brought into the classroom as a way of celebrating students’ birthdays. Think about a book to donate to the classroom, a board game or sports balls or equipment for the kids to use during outdoor recess. Please consult with your child’s teacher before your child’s birthday for good suggestions on what you could bring to celebrate.
