Our number one priority is to ensure students arrive and leave from school safely. Please take a few minutes to review the following parking lot procedures and rules, which are necessary to keep the area organized and safe for everyone. It is important to establish a consistent routine with your children for dropping them off in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon. This helps keep the process smooth and ensures the safety of all students.
1. Back Parking Lot
Arrival (before 8:50 am): Do not drop your child off before 8:50 am as there is no adult supervision.
Safety is our priority.
Dismissal: Ensure your car tag is visible and pull up to the blue line when you arrive for pickup.
2. Front Parking Lot
Do not use the front lot for drop-off or pick-up between 8:30 am and 9:10 am (arrival) or 3:35 pm and 4:00 pm (dismissal).
The front lot is reserved for buses, preschool, and staff only during these times.
Use the back parking lot for drop-off and pick-up during these hours.
3. Walkers
Eligibility: Only students living within walking distance of Erving Elementary are considered walkers.
School of Choice and Building of Choice students are not eligible to walk.
4. Car Tags
Need a car tag for pick-up? Email Mrs. Robyn at baloghr@wbsdweb.com for a tag or additional tags.
Thank You for Your Cooperation!
We appreciate your attention to these procedures. By working together, we can ensure that all students get to and from school safely each day!
We do not do early dismissal pick-ups after 3:30pm. If you need to pick up your child early, please make arrangements to do so prior to 3:30pm.

Student Birthday Policy:
Recognizing your child’s birthday is important to us and we understand the importance of celebrating their special day with their classmates. However, sending in a food treat to the classroom can exclude those children who have food allergies or other dietary restrictions. For this reason, and in efforts to promote healthy lifestyles for our students, we respectfully ask that cupcakes and other food items NOT be brought into the classroom as a way of celebrating students’ birthdays. Think about a book to donate to the classroom, a board game or sports balls or equipment for the kids to use during outdoor recess. Please consult with your child’s teacher before your child’s birthday for good suggestions on what you could bring to celebrate.
