Raptor - WBSD Visitor/Volunteer Management System

Please have your ID with you when you come to visit us!

Our number one priority at Gudith is the safety of our students, staff, and visitors. To make our building safe, we have installed the Raptor Visitor Management System. Each time a visitor or volunteer arrives, they are required to immediately report to the main office to scan their identification and receive a visitor's/volunteer badge before they are permitted to enter.

The Raptor visitor management system is used to verify the identity of a visitor, keep track of check-in and check-out times, and print custom visitor labels. It also provides a consistent system to track visitors and volunteers across the district.

Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals For ALL!

Kids Lunch

Michigan Healthy School Meals Program

The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students starting this new school year, thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program.

  • Do I need to fill out an application to qualify for Michigan School Meals? YES!

As a household, you are responsible for completing the Educational Benefits Form (EBF). Without this information, our district could lose important state and federal funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to.

  • My child already receives free meals at school, do I still need to complete the the Education Benefits Form? Yes! The information collected from the application is used to provide additional services and benefits beyond just school meals, like resources for classrooms, teachers, and children, guidance and college counselors, and health and wellness services.

  • Can my child get a second meal for free while at school? No. The Michigan School Meals Program provides a maximum of one free breakfast and one free lunch per day to students at participating schools. Your child may choose a second breakfast and/or a second lunch item such as pizza, as a la carte item.

  • Do I still have to fill out a Free and Reduced Lunch Benefits Application? YES! It is very important that families who qualifies for free and reduced lunch for their student(s), based on their household income, still fill out the free and reduced meal application. Filling out the application determines if your family qualifies for other state and federal offers such as discounted internet service, waived SAT test fees, and (if the state chooses to issue them again) P-EBT cards. The application for Free and Reduced Lunch Benefits can be found at mywbsd.org website under the Dept/Food Service web page or here

APPLICATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR

The Zones of Regulation ("The Zones")

Gudith Staff and Student will be participating in The Zones of Regulation curriculum, which are lessons to help them gain skills in the area of self-regulation. Self-regulation is defined as the best state of alertness of both the body and emotions for a specific situation. The lessons and learning activities are designed to help the students recognize when they are in the different zones as well as learn how to use strategies to change or stay in the zone they are in.
